Somewhere, Someone Knows This Child’s Name

A young child found in a suitcase in Rockdale County, Georgia, deserves identification, answers and justice

On November 14, 2025, authorities were called to a wooded area near Honey Creek Road and Tucker Mill Road in Rockdale County, Georgia.

A worker surveying the property had discovered a suitcase hidden in the woods. Inside were the skeletal remains of a young child.

Investigators believe the child was no older than eight years old. Because the remains were skeletal, authorities believe the child may have been deceased for a considerable period before being discovered.

The child’s name has not been publicly announced.

Their family has not been publicly identified.

The circumstances surrounding their death remain under investigation.

But this child was more than an unidentified set of remains.

This child mattered

This child had a name.

They had a birthday and a story that began long before they were discovered in those woods. They may have had siblings, grandparents, classmates, neighbors or childhood friends.

They may have had a favorite meal, a favorite television show, a treasured toy or a song they loved hearing.

There should have been birthdays, school pictures, holidays, laughter and milestones.

Instead, this child was concealed inside a suitcase and left in a wooded area.

Someone may remember a young child who suddenly disappeared from their neighborhood, school, apartment building, church, family or social circle.

Someone may remember being given an explanation that never made sense.

Someone may have noticed that a child stopped attending school or family gatherings.

Someone may possess one missing piece of information that could restore this child’s identity.

Investigators release a facial approximation

Investigators arranged for a forensic facial approximation to be created showing what the child may have looked like during life.

A facial approximation is not an exact photograph. It is an investigative tool produced from available forensic information to help generate recognition and possible leads.

Members of the public should study the approximation carefully while also considering that the child’s exact hairstyle, facial expression, complexion and other features may have differed in life.

The purpose of the image is simple: to help someone recognize this child.

An active investigation with unanswered questions

Authorities have not publicly explained how the child died or how the suitcase came to be placed in the woods.

No publicly verified identification or arrest announcement was located during the preparation of this report.

The removal of an unidentified-person entry from a public database should not, by itself, be treated as proof that the child has been identified. Records may be removed, restricted or made private for several investigative reasons.

Until authorities issue a confirmed update, speculation should not be presented as fact.

Social-media users have compared the facial approximation with photographs of other missing children. Those comparisons must be reported to investigators rather than declared publicly as confirmed matches.

Unverified accusations can harm families, interfere with investigations and spread misinformation.

What the public can do

Look closely at the facial approximation.

Think back to children you knew, saw or heard about before November 2025.

Consider whether a child approximately eight years old or younger disappeared from:

  • A school or daycare
  • An apartment complex or neighborhood
  • A family gathering
  • A church or community organization
  • A temporary living arrangement
  • The care of a relative, guardian or family acquaintance

Information may remain important even when it appears minor or happened months or years earlier.

Do not attempt to confront or investigate anyone personally. Preserve any relevant messages, photographs, records or online posts and provide them directly to law enforcement.

Contact investigators

Anyone who recognizes the child or possesses information that could assist the investigation should contact:

Corporal Ware
Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office
770-278-8114

This child deserves to be known by their name—not by the suitcase in which they were found.

They deserve to have their story restored.

They deserve answers.

They deserve justice.
